Primary Presenter: Cory Pavicich

Organization: University of Colorado Boulder

Role: Academic Technology Consultant

Track: Ask an Expert

Abstract: Come explore Google’s powerful social networking tool! We will examine how circles, sharing, and free multipoint video conferencing can support you in your teaching and research.

Bio: Cory Pavicich holds a Masters in Learning and Teaching from Harvard University, and serves as an Academic Technology Consultant for the CU-Boulder School of Education and College of Engineering. He has worked for almost 10 years in Educational Technology, and is one of only a few Google Certified Teachers and Trainers in the Mountain West.

Description: CU is “Going Google!” The University of Colorado at Boulder is joining a growing community of universities moving their online collaboration to Google Apps for Education, and this session will explore Google Apps and beyond. Cory Pavicich (Google Certified Trainer and Teacher) will lead an informal roundtable discussion on Google software, focusing on Google’s potential impacts on the future of teaching and learning with technology, as well as updates from the CU Google Apps project team. Participants are encouraged to bring their own ideas, questions, and stories of how Google software is impacting their teaching and/or research. There is no structured content for this session, only the enthusiasm of the participants! Come geek out, or just listen and learn from the geeks!
