Abstract: With the all-new iTunes U, you have an easy way to design and distribute complete courses featuring audio, video, books, and other content. And students and lifelong learners can experience your courses for free through a powerful new app for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. At this session, you’ll see the iTunes U app in action. You’ll learn how to build courses using iTunes U Course Manager — a web-based tool accessible from a browser.

 

Bio: Kurt Bedell is a sales development executive with Apple and responsible for Apple's business development activities with higher education campuses. A 15 year Apple veteran, Kurt has helped shape Apple's HiEd strategy in a number of sales and marketing roles, including managing Apple's HiEd marketing programs for students, creative depts, and Colleges of Education at Apple's corporate headquarters in Cupertino. In his career, Kurt has also driven education marketing strategy and programs at two technology startups Apex Learning, an online provider of course materials to K-12 schools, and Audible, the leading provider of spoken entertainment and information via the Internet.
