Abstract: As educators who utilize technology in our teaching, we are continuously striving to keep up with the latest technologies and design tools. That is usually much easier said than done! From Moodle to e-Books, we will share the many lessons learned in our journey to find just the right e-learning tool to meet our needs, which ended up being e-Books. In addition, we will demonstrate our use of e-Books in a new online learning platform.

b. e-Learning design tools – compare and contrast three commonly used e-learning software: i. Captivate ii. Articulate iii. e-Books

     2. Discuss benefits of InDesign from a design perspective a. Ease of use and abbreviated learning curve b. Plays well with other      Adobe products for streamlined production process c. Versatile output options (discuss more in #4 below)

3. Discuss benefits for end-users (learners):

     a. Familiar user interface

     b. Online/offline on-demand learning

     c. Interactivity resulting in an engaging learning experience

4. Discuss benefits of InDesign from an “Output” perspective:

     a. Interactive .swf (Flash)

     b. Interactive PDF

     c. e-Book (Kindle, iPad)

     d. App (iPad, Tablets, iPhone, Smartphones)
